Of course training with a partner is still the most relevant one. But some time we just don’t have a partner to train with, and otherwise has solo training also a lot to offer…

Workout 002 – Power training in the River
This workout is inspired through the one and only “Surf Dog”. Hitting water is good training and can improve your power. But first and foremost it’s a lot of fun… I have to admit that we are not doing this too often, the water in Switzerland is just too cold most at the time.
Workout 003 – Lift and Takedown
The topic of this workout is strength training in terms to lift your adversary for takedowns. With techniques as the “High Double” or the “Cameltoe”, exercises for strong legs and explosive hips are key.
Workout 004 – Agility Ladder
In the way I approach weapon fighting, footwork is the key skill to develop.
Agility ladder training is a good way to quicken your footwork progression.
It will boost your foot speed, your agility, but also your coordination and smoothness.

Workout 006 – Hip Heist
The Hip Heist is a important move if you prefer the top position in ground-fighting. It is the skill to scramble to your knees or to sit out while being underneath your opponent.
Workout 007 – Running
Going for a run with 2 sticks will improve your stick skills and at the same time you work on your endurance!
Workout 008 – Backhands & Plyo Jumps
The topic of this workout is about developing a good Backhand strike.
Workout 009 – Sprints & Takeoff
This workout is all about short distance sprints aka the takeoff.
Workout 010 – Shrimping
this workout is all about to be mobile while being on your back.
as for the boxer it is crucial to have good head movement, so it is crucial to have good hip movement when fighting from the bottom.
lateral hip movements as shrimping are essential when fighting from your back. those moves are important to escape from dominant positions, and to create space for effective counter attacks.
Workout 011 – Grip Strength
this workout is about grip strength for stick-grappling
Workout 012 – Forearm Training
the previous workout (# 011) meant to be a grip strength workout, but it turned out to be more a shoulder endurance workout… therefore we focus on this one to work more the forearms.
